Roo Lan Health Care is very excited to announce that our Activities Assistant, Trina Woolridge, was awarded Caregiver of the Year, at the Senior Action Network’s Caregiver Appreciation Dinner. This annual event, now on its 17th year, honors caregivers and nurse assistants working throughout Thurston, Mason, and Lewis County both in facilities and senior’s homes. Trina was one of only 6 caregivers accorded this honor from dozens of submissions for the Facility-Based Caregiver category.
A team member at our skilled-nursing facility, Trina has been with Roo Lan for more than 15-years. A career caregiver, Trina found her life’s passion in our Activities Department providing entertainment and friendship to those living in our community. Trina was nominated by Milly, a resident’s family member who watched Trina care for her mother-in-law and has remained friends with her ever since. Milly pointed out Trina’s boundless enthusiasm and dedication to what she does in her recommendation letter. She brings a special kind of energy to the activities she hosts in Roo Lan’s dining hall that really helps our resident’s feel welcome. The rest of the team here at Roo Lan couldn’t be prouder of Trina and thank her for her many years of service.
